Thisinjection is used  to prevent vomiting and nausea  caused by radiation therapy and  cancer drug treatment i.e. chemotherapy . It is also used to prevent and treat nausea and vomiting after surgery. It blocks one of the body’s natural substances i.e. serotonin that causes vomiting.
